As Softship.SAPAS becomes accepted by the port agent community, we are gathering feedback and making enhancements to the service.

One improvement is to the tariff section where complex tariff structures based on a range of factors such as vessel GRT, NRT, LOA, port stay days or some other measure can be captured accurately.

Now, tariffs can be copied and reused or modified so there is no need to build complex structures from scratch. A further modification is the introduction of “global cost items” which, once set, can be introduced to as many tariffs as required.

If a change is made to a global cost item, this change is automatically implemented to all tariffs where the global item is found, saving time and effort.

Other improvements include:

• Introduction of local time zones to the Offer, Port Call and Tariff Matcher sections of Softship.SAPAS -  instead of having to use UTC
• An enhanced Report Design tool
• Dashboard enhancements to aid usability
• Technical improvements to the Tariff Matcher
• Several smaller design adjustments to improve the user experience

The international shipping media continues to show an interest in Softship and our state-of-the-art software solutions for liner operators and port agents.

During the first half of this year we’ve featured in five major publications where we’ve had the opportunity to show-case our expertise as well as our business applications.

Softship.SAPAS has been the focus of this year’s media activity with four of the five outlets choosing to profile and comment on this exciting new cloud based solution for port agents.
